New York is the latest state to utilize Twiage's life saving communication technology! The Twiage team is excited to start working in their home state, joining Nyack Hospital in New York's Hudson Valley. Nyack Hospital is using the technology to facilitate more effective communication between EMS agencies and the emergency department,which allows the hospital to improve their ED throughput and reduce the door to room time for patients. The enhanced communication and care coordination is also invaluable to specialized service teams within the hospital, such asNyack's stroke team. “That can have a bed assignment for that patient. Wecan have the entire stroke team ready for the patient, sometimes before I even leave the patient's house," says paramedic Jason Paluck of Rockland Paramedic Services. It's an exciting step in New York's mission for new healthcare innovation, and one that should make great strides forward in the overall patient experience.
